Meet Carolyn.

I live in Easthampton, Massachusetts with my wife Julie. After working out of several community studios for over 20 years, I repurposed a space in my home and built my own studio in the spring of 2020. I love creating with clay- from the wedging to the throwing, trimming, firing and glazing- I take pleasure in every step. My pots are made for everyday life; pots to be touched, used and enjoyed. I favor simple shapes and create glazes that remind me of the natural elements of water and earth.

In my life, I surround myself with handmade things, many from local artists and craftspeople. My home has often been full (five children now grown but never gone from us for too long!) and my favorite memories include crowding around the various tables of my life - sharing meals, stories, games, laughs, and making precious memories with those I love. My pottery, and the pottery of others, has played a part in many of my crowded table memories. I hope that my pottery crowds the tables of your life and that you have the blessing of many crowded table moments.
